Laura Lien
Owner + Principal Designer
Laura Lien is the founder and principal designer of Laura Lien Interior Design, a full-service interior design firm based in Sioux Falls, SD. She has over 22 years of experience in the industry and an Interior Design degree from South Dakota State University, Through her career she has had the privilege of working on a diverse array of projects from high-end residential to commercial spaces.
Laura began her professional journey at a residential design firm in Colorado, where she gained invaluable experience enhancing both the functionality and beauty of interior spaces before transitioning to a commercial architecture firm where she learned the other side of the multi-faceted design world. She then returned to South Dakota where she worked at another design firm to further refine her skills before
co-founding a retail interior design store and studio. She then chose to sell her shares in the design store to work independently for greater flexibility in her schedule and projects. She works closely with clients to ensure every detail reflects their vision and exceeds their expectations. In her downtime, Laura cherishes moments with her son, their two fluffy dogs, their family, friends, and traveling.

Senior Interior Designer
Laura Laird joined Laura Lien Interior Design in 2021 as a Senior Interior Designer. Laura's design journey began as an intern in high-end showrooms in Minneapolis, where she gained expertise in furniture and textiles. After graduating from South Dakota State University with a degree in Interior Design, she began her career in Sioux Falls working in high-end residential and commercial design. With over 10 years of expertise, Laura excels at understanding her clients and bringing their visions to life. Her exceptional skills in 3D modeling and rendering enable clients to visualize projects before they begin. Outside of design, Laura enjoys baking, attending concerts, and spending time at home with her husband, son, and their Saint Bernard.
